Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Australian Maths Competition

What is the AMC Speedrun 135 Hub?

It is a curated collection of rigorous mathematics problems designed to help students prepare for the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC), specifically targeting the Senior division (Years 11 and 12).

Who created this website?

Vu Hung Nguyen, an ML/AI engineer and educator passionate about mathematics.

Are these official Australian Mathematics Competition (AMT) resources?

No. This hub is an independent educational resource created by Vu Hung Nguyen and is not affiliated with, maintained, or endorsed by the Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT).

How should I use these speedrun booklets for my AMC preparation?

Start by identifying your weaknesses. Read through the Fundamental Review sections to solidify your theory, and then practice the problems under timed 'speedrun' conditions to simulate the actual AMC exam environment.

Why is there so much 'enrichment' in your booklets?

To challenge you! The AMC requires out-of-the-box thinking. The enrichment material is designed to push your problem-solving skills beyond standard high school curriculum and prepare you for university-level mathematics.

Can I use the booklets for my school or math club?

The materials are copyrighted by Vu Hung Nguyen (2026). However, you are welcome to use them for personal study and non-commercial educational purposes in your school or math club. Please provide appropriate attribution.

How can I contribute or report typos?

I welcome feedback, problem suggestions, and typo corrections! Reach me via GitHub issues or LinkedIn, or comment/DM on Substack.

Your LaTeX/TikZ is crazy. Teach me!

You can learn by reading the LaTeX source code on GitHub, or by DMing me. I'm always happy to share tips on typesetting beautiful mathematics.

Are you available for collaboration, tutoring, or coaching?

While my schedule is currently full with my uni work and building this hub, I'm always open to brief collaborations or quick questions via GitHub or LinkedIn!
